Kwon Songhee is a vocalist and music creator who explores new possibilities for Korean traditional music by combining the profound artistry of pansori with a modern sensibility. Building upon the essence of traditional pansori, she expands its boundaries through innovative contemporary approaches, serving as a bridge between tradition and the broader public.
As the founder of [PANSORI LAB], Kwon has presented unique projects that merge traditional pansori with electronic sounds. Her groundbreaking work, "Modern Simcheong," has been recognized for breaking the boundaries between tradition and modernity, offering innovative perspectives on Korean traditional music. Additionally, as the lead vocalist of the band LEENALCHI, she has garnered widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally by blending traditional pansori with contemporary rhythms.
